She has teamed up with local businesses that are providing hampers, food for the events and prizes varying from wine and food hampers, medals and a cup for the victorious conkerer!
The competition is free to enter; contestants must bring their own conkers, which will be checked for tampering. The event holders will provide regulation string. The play will be based on a knock-out basis, so there is hope for event numbers.
There is a barbecue being provided, and there will be face painting for younger competitors.
